Advanced Bleeding Control  ($30 -class size 9-18:  $25)

ASHI Advanced Bleeding Control: According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, traumatic injury is one of the leading causes of death for people under 50 years of age in the US. A large portion of those deaths are from severe bleeding – the most treatable cause of death due to trauma.


American Safety & Health Institute’s Advanced Bleeding Control is designed to provide detailed information on the control and care of severe external bleeding.

Course highlights:

Course Length - 2 1/2 hours.
• Designed for groups and individuals who have a greater than average chance of witnessing an injury event in which heavy bleeding occurs and professional medical care is not readily available or overwhelmed, such as law enforcement, private security, workplace emergency response team personnel and staff at large events, campuses or large occupied buildings.

High Performance CPR  ($30 - class size 9-18:  $25)

This course is for individuals who are not healthcare providers but desire or are required to© 2017 Health & Safety Institute. Course Length - 2 hours.

High-Performance CPR guidelines define the most effective way to perform CPR. Yet there is a gap in quality between recommended guidelines and actual performance by most providers. High-performance CPR is a simple concept: improve the performance of CPR through high-quality skills, along with a practiced team approach, and the chance for survival improves.

Intended audience
Industrial emergency response teams, staff at long-term care facilities, lifeguards, law enforcement
and correctional officers, as well as crowd
management personnel at large gatherings.

Minimum prerequisite
• Current certification in adult CPR and AED, or BLS

Class configurations
• Max student to instructor ratio: 12 to 1
• High-Performance CPR Student Book
• Use of a CPR Feedback device is required
• 2 years Successful completion (certification)

Basic Life Support (BLS)  ($55 - class size 9-18:  $45)

Basic Life Support (BLS) This expert-level program helps keep healthcare professionals prepared and ready to respond as they encounter life-threatening emergencies, provide basic life support and respond to choking incidents.


ASHI’s Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers conforms to the current 2015 AHA Guidelines and Update for CPR and ECC.


It has been approved for training for Emergency Medical Services personnel and is accepted by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT). The program is also CAPCE approved and widely accepted in more than 150 healthcare-related occupations.

Course Length - 4 hours.
• Designed for individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training

Bloodborne pathogens  ($25 - class size 9-18:  $20)

ASHI  Bloodborne Pathogens program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.
Course Length -  1 1/2 hours.
